No Bible Classes this week.
-->
Body Talk: February 19, 2011

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Jesus Christ.

Our prayers and encouragement go up for all our LTC participants and leaders. If you haven t sensed it in the air, they are quite busy getting ready for this years program. I know so much goes into what they are doing. The participants are spending hours and hours readying themselves, and the leaders are doing everything they can to help make sure they are. Lots of love and energy are being invested in this effort to prepare the kids with both knowledge and changed lives. Lets keep them in prayer that along with all the hard work that they re having a blast too.

We ve seen a good number of guests come our way lately. My prayer is that they are finding us a welcoming people, open armed and hearted and willing to embrace them into the life of our congregation. God is among us. His church is his business. I believe he builds it as he wills (Matt. 16). That means that God gets to decide how he arranges and plants people within his church. Our role is to keep the unity of the Spirit (the unity that the Holy Spirit creates) in the bond of peace. I say all this to encourage us to move from our comforts or our pews and make sure that we are genuinely with the heart of Christ—generously sharing our appreciation, even our lives with newcomers to Jesus church among us.

This is just a reminder that Richard Emparado, and family will be with us this week (17th 20th). Richard is one of our missionaries. We support his work in the Philippines. Richard will be teaching in the combined adult class in the auditorium, and then will preach during the morning services. I hope you ll make every effort to be present and catch up on what s happening with the work in the Philippines.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday.

Love, Randy
